We are a property agency specialising in finding, selling, renovating and refurbishing Galician houses and apartments. We work on behalf of English speaking clients and cover all four of Galicia's provinces, namely Lugo, la Coruna, Pontevedra and Ourense. Our service is friendly, but professional.

We offer a mix of properties, locations and values that range from rural houses in need of refurbishment, to the latest new build apartments and housing complexes.

How things work

Buying a property in Galicia is similar to buying a house in most other countries. The big difference is in the planning stage which needs to be carefully organised. You do not want to have your time wasted, or to see property that does not match your expectations.

When you find the property that you want to buy, the speed at which you progress is determined by you, however but we will assist and support you through every step of the process.

We will confirm the offer price and direct you towards a Galician based English speaking solicitor.

We will assist you in other important "settling-in" activities like the opening of a Spanish bank account, the obtaining of your fiscal identity number and the setting up of your electricity, water and council arrangements.

When you are ready to buy a property we will accompany you to the Notary meeting.

And importantly, We will continue to be your friends and first line of support as you slip in to a new Galician way of life - or enjoy holidays in this stunning part of Spain.

Property project management services

Many rural houses can be described as - in need of renovation. These properties offer good value for money, but they often require the appointment of a contractor and a project manager. This is a service that we can offer at competetive prices for all properties bought through Galicia Escape. Our advisory services are F.O.C., but we do have a fee structure for all project management.

• We can arrange a survey and or inspection by a structural engineer.
• We can assist you with any necessary planning permissions.
• We can advise you as to whether a property is eligible for a grant.
• We can recommend and help you appoint an architect.
• We can recommend and help you appoint a builder or specialist contractors.
• We can project manage the refurbishment or redevelopment of your new house and regularly update you on the project with progress reports and photos.

All the above are subject to the nature of the property and its renovation.
