It is difficult to show the front of the house with photographs because there is a canopy of vines around it which obscures the view. However, this is a stone rendered house that has been undergoing renovation by its owner for two years. All of the structural refurbishment has been completed and this includes the roof, floors, stairs (marble with timber balustrade), windows and doors. The render that is currently on the house could be removed to expose the stone walls beneath (which could be dressed) for a traditional Galician country house look.
Downstairs the house has a living room, bathroom (yet to be fitted), kitchen (yet to be fitted), a further potential reception room and a trastero (storage area).
Upstairs the house has 4 bedrooms, a bathroom and a further small room that could be a shower room etc. There is also a large loft space which, whilst not high enough to become liveable space, offers masses of storage.
Also connected to the house is a further brick building (see bottom photo), the first floor of which can be reached from the main house. This building, the ground floor of which is currently a storage area, could also be renovated to add to the house’s size.
In addition to the main house and brick annex, there are two further out buildings (see second photo) which can be used for storage or even removed to create more garden space. In the past, one was used to cook outside and the other has an old bread oven and has been used as a wine store in the past.
The garden (excluding the buildings) is about 600 sq metres and is currently divided into different areas where vegetables are grown (hence the orange fencing on the photos). There is also an area where up to a dozen different fruit and nut trees have been planted and there are three different varieties of grape in the garden.
The main work that still requires completion on the house is the services and finishes, e.g. electricity, plastering, kitchen etc.
The property has mains electricity, a septic drain-away, water supply from a natural spring (typical in Galicia) and there is a phone connection that could be reinstated.
This house has had all of the main renovation work done to it and it can be completed for a relatively small investment. It benefits from being right next to Noia and 26 km from Santiago de Compostela. The drive to the airport takes about 35 mnutes.
